‘US intelligence propaganda behind ISIL threats’

An analyst says the ISIL threats of more attacks on the American soil are just “US intelligence propaganda”.

Investigative journalist Wayne Madsen says the ISIL threats of more attacks on the American soil are just “US intelligence propaganda” that aims to cause fear among Americans.

Madsen made the remarks when asked about recent threats made by the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group that more attacks are coming in the US after the group claimed the responsibility for a shooting incident on Sunday in Texas.

The ISIL announced on Tuesday that it has “trained soldiers” in 15 US states that are ready to wage more attacks similar to the one on the event in Garland, Texas.

Madsen said “The idea that there are operating cells of the Islamic State in fifteen American states I think is rather ludicrous.”

“I think it falls into the area of who benefits from this kind of propaganda,” he said, adding “right now we have several Republican Congressmen trying to say that the Islamic State has bases in Mexico and this is only a racist ploy to argue against the immigration policies being put forward by president Obama.”

“I actually think that these ISIS threats were not originating in northern Iraq or Syria or any other area occupied by the Islamic State,” he opined.

Madsen said “I strongly smell US intelligence propaganda behind these Islamic State threats because they’re the only one who really stand to benefit by increasing the fear factor among the American people for a threat that really does not exist.”

ISIL claimed responsibility for the shooting incident outside a provocative contest for physical depictions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on Sunday night.

Two gunmen opened fire outside a building where an anti-Islamic group, American Freedom Defense Initiative, was staging the provocative contest that would award $10,000 for the top depiction of the Prophet (PBUH). A security guard was shot in the lower leg during the shooting. The two gunmen were then shot and killed by authorities.

Madsen said “it’s very dubious whether they (ISIL) had any operational control over these two individuals who attempted to attack”.
