A shooting incident has left four people dead and another injured in Columbus, Ohio, and the suspect is at large, police said.
The shooting that happened on Saturday at a home claimed the lives of two males and two females and wounded a teenage girl, Sgt. David Sicilian of the Columbus homicide squad said.
"We obviously have a homicidal suspect out here who's not afraid to kill somebody. We need to quickly find out who that is or the persons responsible for this," Sicilian told reporters.
Police have begun an investigation, but so far have not identified any suspect or motive behind the killings.
Officers, who arrived at the home to respond to a report about a female with blood on her, found the girl outside the house, who told cops somebody was dead inside the home.
According to a police dispatcher, the girl was 16 years old and was not seriously injured.
The bodies were found in the basement.
The US averages 87 deaths each day as a function of gun violence, with an average of 183 injured, according to the University of Chicago Crime Lab and the Centers for Disease Control.
According to the Gun Violence Archive, over 5,000 people have been killed and over 10,000 people have been injured by gun in the country since January 1, 2015.
