Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid says most of the people killed in the country’s latest attack were British.
He made the statement hours after UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said a "high proportion" of casualties would have been British.
Meanwhile, Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron said the nation needs to get prepared for accepting the fact that many of the victims were British.
He went on noting that a group of UK including politicians and medical staff would arrive in Tunisia as part of efforts to help victims and their families.
At least 38 people were killed in the attack on a Tunisian beach resort on Friday.
The Takfiri militants of ISIL have taken responsibility for the attack.
Tunisia’s government is set to hold an emergency meeting to discuss UK’s response to the attack.
Nationals from Tunisia, Germany, Belgium, France and Ireland were among the victims of the attack. At least thirty-six others were wounded.
