Graham is utterly disingenuous politician: Activist

Senator Lindsey Graham is an utterly “disingenuous” American politician, says a political activist.

US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham is a complete “disingenuous” American politician that should be the president of his own planet, says a political activist.

Don DeBar made the comments in an interview with Press TV on Friday when asked about the recent remarks by Graham who said Democrats will be held accountable for any potential fallout from the Iran nuclear agreement.

“To my Democratic friends, you own this. You own every 'I' and every ‘T,’” Graham said on Thursday of the conclusion of nuclear negotiations between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries in July in Vienna, Austria.

“Every bullet and you own everything that is to follow, and it's going to be holy hell,” added Graham, a presidential hopeful whose campaign has failed to take off.

DeBar said Graham “should be running for the president of his own planet, the one that he resides in,” noting, it’s frightening “how completely disingenuous American politicians are and Graham is one of the worst.”

“What’s frightening is that in some circles here in the United States, he’s actually looked at as some kind of reformer,” added DeBar.

These politicians “have to posture because they lost the political battle…. if you look at what they’ve been doing with this so-called Obamacare, the so-called affordable healthcare act, they have these meaningless votes repeatedly over and over that have no legal impact whatsoever,” he noted.

“The same scenario is playing out in both houses of Congress right now with respect to the agreement with the P5+1 and Iran,” he concluded.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action reached between Iran and the P5+1 -- the US, Britain, Russia, China, France, and Germany -- in July in Vienna, Austria.

The Obama administration has gained this resounding victory over its opponents, despite Republicans’ opposition and the Israel lobby’s massive campaign to defeat the historic nuclear agreement.
