British police are investigating a new case of hate crime against Muslims on a London bus after a video of the incident went viral on the social media.
The amateur video shot by a fellow passenger shows a woman shouting abuse at two Muslim women. She then urges them to “go back to your country.”
The aggressive woman continues her tirade despite the bus driver’s efforts to cal down the situation.
This comes days after UK Conservative government called on police forces to step up data-gathering on hate crimes against Muslims.
The Muslim Council of Britain said the incident “shed light on Islamophobic abuse”.
According to official estimations, there has been a 70 percent increase in attacks on Muslims last year.
