Dinosaur found in Argentina may be largest yet: Scientists

Images show the excavation of 98 million-year-old fossils in southwest Argentina.

Archaeologists have found that the 98 million-year-old fossils discovered in southwest Argentina are of a sauropod, which may be larger than the Patagotitan mayorum, the largest dinosaur ever identified.

The massive fossils were discovered in 2012 in the Neuquen River Valley, but excavation work only began in 2015, according to paleontologist Jose Luis Carballido.
