This is how Cuba weathered US sanctions on medicine

Sixty years ago the US regime imposed sanctions on Cuba, barring the country from importing food and medicine. The sanctions were aimed at bringing the country to its knees, but Cuba managed to weather the sanctions by developing its own healthcare system which is far better than the one in the US.
