The UK's ruling Labour Party has kicked off its days-long annual conference in the northwest city of Liverpool overshadowed by protests and rows over free clothes, leaks and cuts to winter fuel payments to pensioners. It comes a day after a national demonstration in the same city called on the government to stop all arms deals with the Israeli regime over the Gaza genocide.
