The year 2025 has emerged as one of the deadliest on record for journalists reporting from Gaza, according to multiple international press freedom and media monitoring organizations.

Gaza has been the deadliest place in the world to work as a journalist in 2025, with 60 killed in the past year alone.

Although a similar situation was reported across the occupied territories, Israeli attacks and deliberate killing of journalists didn’t stop even after a ceasefire in Gaza.
