Anti-fascist protests in Orléans coincide with Le Pen's party conference

Anti-fascist activists protested in Orléans, France, during the National Rally conference ahead of Marine Le Pen’s election speech.

The city of Orléans in central France witnessed protests organized by anti-fascist activists, coinciding with the holding of the National Rally right-wing party's conference and ahead of its leader Marine Le Pen delivering an election speech in the city.

The protesters gathered in an area designated by local authorities after they were prevented from organizing their action at another location, chanting anti-fascist slogans and carrying banners rejecting the party's conference, affirming their refusal to allow it a platform.

The protests come on the eve of a campaign speech by Le Pen before her party members, at a time when France is experiencing political and social tensions over rising living costs and growing opposition to government policies.

These movements coincide with preparations for the upcoming presidential elections, amid political division over the country's direction and the rise of right-wing currents.
