Protesters against Portugal's housing crisis gather in Lisbon to denounce what they regard as excessive use of force after riot police with dogs cleared protest camps in the capital and in Porto, charging demonstrators with batons, arresting 13 people and leaving dozens injured.
"What happened last night is utterly ridiculous. These demonstrators are not resorting to violence; they are peaceful. They are simply trying to improve their lives," says one of the protesters.
