At least one person has been killed and another injured in an Israeli drone strike on a motorcycle in southern Lebanon, amid Tel Aviv’s continued violations of a US-brokered framework agreement signed in June.

The attack took place on Wednesday evening in the town of Qabrikha, in the Marjayoun district, Lebanon’s official National News Agency (NNA) reported.

Israeli artillery also shelled the towns of Mansouri and Majdal Zoun in Tyre, while Israeli forces opened machine-gun fire on the Hujeir and Saluki valleys, located between the Marjayoun, Bint Jbeil and Nabatieh districts.

Israeli forces also carried out an explosion in the town of Bani Hayyan in Marjayoun, NNA reported.

The regime forces also set fire to homes in the town of Haddatha in the Bint Jbeil district. No precise information was available on the number of homes affected or the extent of the damage.

Additionally, Israeli drones flew at low altitudes over the Lebanese capital, Beirut, its southern suburbs and the Zahrani area in southern Lebanon.

Artillery shelling also hit the town of Baraachit in the Bint Jbeil district and Wadi Zibqin in the Tyre district, with no immediate reports of casualties.

An Israeli drone dropped stun grenades near olive-picking farmers at Halta farm, on the outskirts of Kfar Shuba in the Hasbaya district. No injuries were reported.

Since March 2, Israeli military strikes on Lebanon have killed nearly 4,400 individuals and wounded around 12,400 others, according to the latest official figures released by the Lebanese government.

The assaults have continued despite the signing of a US-backed framework agreement between Beirut and the Tel Aviv regime on June 26, which calls for a phased Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and the deployment of the Lebanese army.

Israel has continued its airstrikes across southern Lebanon and maintained its occupation of Lebanese territory, including areas held for years and others seized during the recent war and military aggression.
