Israeli forces have killed at least four Palestinians in fresh attacks across the Gaza Strip, while a fifth has succumbed to wounds sustained in an earlier assault, raising the death toll since the October 2025 "ceasefire" to nearly 1,600.

The latest attacks on Monday targeted southern Khan Yunis, central Gaza and Gaza City. At least two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli shooting and an airstrike in Khan Yunis, while another was killed in a drone attack on al-Musaddar village, medical sources said.

In northern Gaza City, an Israeli strike hit a vehicle in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, killing Hani Hamed Kahil and wounding five others.

Meanwhile, another Palestinian, Youssef Abu Younis died from injuries sustained in an Israeli attack on a police post in al-Mawasi on Sunday, bringing Monday's reported death toll to five.

At least five Palestinian police officers were killed in an Israeli drone attack on Sunday.

Separately, three Palestinians were wounded when a minibus belonging to a community kitchen was struck in Gaza City's Zeitoun neighborhood.

According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,593 Palestinians and wounded 5,748 others since a "ceasefire" took effect in October 2025.

The overall death toll from Israel's genocidal war on the blockaded Palestinian territory has reached at least 74,609, with 175,872 wounded.

The latest attacks come as displaced Palestinians face growing difficulties securing shelter ahead of winter.

The UN migration agency estimates that nearly two million people need shelter assistance, while half of Gaza's tents and makeshift shelters require replacement.

Around 82% of buildings in Gaza have been destroyed as a result of Israel's genocidal campaign in the besieged strip.
