Iranian courts have issued nearly $300 billion in rulings against the United States, with some of the judgments already enforced through the seizure and sale of assets, a senior judicial official said.
Hassan Abdolianpour, head of the Judiciary’s Center for Lawyers, Official Experts and Family Counselors, made the remarks on Thursday during the 25th session examining various aspects of the Third Imposed War, held at the holy shrine of Ahmad ibn Musa in Shiraz.
“Before these measures were initiated, the total value of rulings issued against Iran by US courts exceeded that of rulings issued by Iranian courts against the United States. However, according to the latest figures, nearly $300 billion in rulings have now been issued against the US by Iranian domestic courts,” he said.
He added that in certain cases, American vessels have also been seized and sold following the completion of legal procedures, noting that several vessels are currently under judicial custody, with enforcement proceedings underway.
The judicial official said the rulings could also serve as a legal basis for international negotiations and claims for compensation from parties responsible for aggression against Iran.
800-page dossier on assassination of martyred Leader completed
Abdolianpour said Iran has named Persian Gulf states and Jordan as defendants in recent legal proceedings, adding that complaints have been filed against them before domestic and international courts and their roles established through documented evidence.
He also pointed to a major scandal involving US-based artificial intelligence company Palantir, saying substantial amounts of data have been stolen during wars.
“Using artificial intelligence, this company had obtained highly precise information about our commanders and scientists. This issue has been clearly documented in our evidence to expose their actions,” he said.
Abdolianpour said the documentation has been prepared in accordance with international law and included opinions from 40 prominent international legal experts.
“All of them have emphasized that the assassination of a leader who holds both religious authority and political office is unprecedented in history. This demonstrates that the aggressors recognize no limits in committing crimes,” he said.
Documentation of US war crimes at sea
Abdolianpour also addressed grave enemy crimes at sea, particularly the attack on the Iranian Navy’s Dena frigate.
He said the vessel had been targeted by US submarine torpedoes without any prior warning while carrying out a training mission near the coast of Sri Lanka.
“Under international law, they were obligated to assist the injured personnel even after the first attack. Unfortunately, following a second attack, they refrained from providing assistance. This crime resulted in the loss of several personnel, some of whose bodies were never recovered,” he said.
IRIS Dena was a Moudge-class frigate of the Iranian Navy, commissioned in June 2021, and one of the most modern surface vessels in the Iranian Navy at the time. The vessel was attacked and sunk by a US submarine on March 4, 2026, while returning from a multinational naval exercise in India, in the international waters off the southern coast of Sri Lanka, resulting in 104 dead and 32 injured.
Legal action over attack on soldiers’ rest facility in Bampur
The judicial official said comprehensive documentation have also been compiled concerning the attack on the military barracks in Bampur.
“Any military attack must meet one of three conditions: authorization from the UN Security Council, a request from the targeted country, or the exercise of legitimate self-defense. None of these conditions existed in the case of the Bampur barracks, making the attack entirely illegal,” he said.
The target of the attack was the 388th Infantry Brigade of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, located in Bampur County, Iranshahr, Sistan and Baluchestan Province in southeastern Iran.
In the early morning of July 15, 2026, US forces launched 13 missiles at the barracks, hitting soldiers' dormitories, a guesthouse, and guard posts. Iranian military statements confirmed 7 military personnel killed, including career soldiers and conscripts, with approximately 13 injured.
Iranian military statements emphasized that the attacked areas were sleeping quarters and rest facilities, not combat positions, with the United States intending to cause maximum casualties
Abdalianpour added that Iran has prepared a dossier based on the framework of international law established by states themselves.
Abdolianpour said 12 prominent international lawyers have supported Iran during the war, describing their involvement as a significant development.
“With the support of several international lawyers, we secured confirmations in three European countries and formally submitted our petitions and complaints. These achievements are a great source of pride for Iran’s legal community,” he said.
Abdalianpour said Iranian legal experts have also identified the involvement of European companies in crimes committed against Iran.
“At Shiraz Airport, we found a missile component bearing the markings of German companies. Based on this evidence, we filed lawsuits against the companies involved,” he said.
He added that the documentation has produced significant results, including the identification of French companies’ roles in certain incidents and the pursuit of legal cases against them.
